[Press Release: Charlotte, North Carolina, AEC Celebrates 48th Annual Myrtle Beach Golf Trip]
For 48 years, the team at Advanced Equipment Company has made the trip to Myrtle Beach for one of the company’s longest-running traditions. What started decades ago as a golf outing has become something much bigger: a chance to strengthen relationships, celebrate accomplishments, and spend time together away from the day-to-day demands of the business.
Tournament Highlights and Awards
This year’s trip featured great weather, competitive golf, and plenty of fellowship among employees and several key vendor partners. The golf was fun, but the real value comes from spending time together outside the office. Those conversations and relationships help build the trust and teamwork that carry over into the way we work together throughout the year.
Congratulations to this year’s winning team of Mason Byrd, Scott Abernathy, and Derek Helton. The trip also included the presentation of tournament awards and the recognition of Brian Hester as Advanced Equipment’s Salesperson of the Year. Celebrating accomplishments like these has always been part of who we are. It’s important to take time to recognize the people whose hard work helps make the company successful.
Honoring a Legacy
At the center of the event is the Hank Linker Memorial Golf Tournament. Hank was a longtime salesman whose impact on Advanced Equipment is still felt today. After his passing in 2003, the tournament was renamed in his honor. More than twenty years later, the tournament remains a way to honor someone who played an important role in the history of the company and the culture we still enjoy today.
Building Stronger Teams
Since 1960, AEC has been built on long-term relationships, both with our customers and within our team. The relationships built over years of working together don’t stay in Myrtle Beach. They show up every day in the way we serve our customers. When people know and trust each other, communication improves, projects run more smoothly, and customers benefit from the combined experience of a team that has spent decades working together.
The Myrtle Beach Golf Trip is a reminder that strong teams are built over time. We are proud of the tradition, grateful for the people who make it possible, and already looking forward to next year’s trip.
Partnering with AEC
Since 1960, AEC has remained the leading conveyor integrator in North and South Carolina, and delivering elite material handling expertise to the entire US.
AEC’s premier status is built on a “boots on the ground” approach that transforms complex material handling challenges into streamlined, high-performance realities. By combining local expertise in the Carolinas with a robust nationwide reach, we provide the scalability of a national firm with the dedicated, responsive service of a regional partner.
