Custom Spiral Conveyor and Overhead Conveyor Systems Integration for Optimized Production Lines
At Advanced Equipment Company, we pride ourselves on delivering customized material handling solutions that address the unique needs of our clients.
A recent project exemplifies this commitment, as we collaborated with a multinational producer of paper-based consumer products to optimize their production lines.
Industry: Multinational manufacturer of paper-based consumer products.
Objective: Upgrade production line to save space, maintain high throughput and continuity if a line goes down.
Solution: Reclaim valuable floor space with custom spiral and overhead conveyors to ensure fast and efficient shipping process.
Equipment: Spiral Conveyor + Hytrol Overhead Conveyor System
Result: Optimized custom conveyor system provides seamless efficiency. Expertly optimized space and flow without interruption. Ability to quickly switch between palletizers ensuring high volumes are handled effortlessly.
Challenge: Efficiently managing multiple production lines.
Our client faced the challenge of efficiently managing the output of three production lines after case sealing. With a large-scale operation and high output demands, it was crucial to ensure that the products were swiftly and safely transported across the facility to the existing palletizers.
The key requirements were to optimize space, maintain high throughput, and create a system that could seamlessly switch lines if one of the palletizers experienced downtime.
Solution: Space-saving spiral + overhead conveyor system.
Brad Pearson, our experienced Material Handling Specialist, spearheaded the design and implementation of an innovative conveyor system tailored specifically for the distinctive demands of this project.
The system starts by receiving the outputs from the three production lines after the cases are sealed. From there, the products are elevated to the ceiling via spiral conveyors, an efficient method that maximizes floor space and minimizes congestion on the production floor.
Once the products are elevated, they are conveyed across the facility to two existing traditional palletizers. The system was designed with flexibility in mind, allowing for seamless switching between palletizers.
This capability ensures that if one palletizer goes down, the output from two lines can be efficiently redirected to the operational palletizer, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
Result: Smoother, more reliable operation.
Increased Efficiency + Reliability
The implementation of this system significantly improved the efficiency and reliability of the client’s production lines.
Space Saving + Greater Throughput
By optimizing the use of space and ensuring flexible, continuous operation, the company can now handle high production volumes with greater ease and confidence.
Critical Failsafe + Reduced Downtime
The system’s ability to switch lines between palletizers has also provided a critical failsafe, reducing the risk of production stoppages due to equipment failure.
